To be considered for admission to M.Mgt, the candidates with First Class BE/ B Tech degree must have qualified in GATE with GATE paper which corresponds to their branch in the qualifying examination, or JMET 2011 with valid score card as on 1st August 2011.

Selection Procedure

(Course Programme – Master of Management (M Mgt))

 

M.Mgt Programme

 

After screening based on GATE 2010/2011 / JMET 2011 marks, group discussion and personal interview will be conducted at the Institute, between 18 and 20 April 2011. Selection will be based on performance in the group discussion and interview.

 

Notes

                       

(a)     Candidates short-listed for the aptitude test/group discussion and interview will be posted on IISc website http://admissions.iisc.ernet.in at least 2 weeks in advance Such candidates can take a print-out of the interview letters and make necessary arrangements for attending the interview.  No separate communication will be sent to you  by post. 

 

(b)     Candidates called for the aptitude test/group discussion and interview have to make their own arrangements for travel and accommodation etc.

 

(c)     Candidates called for the aptitude test/group discussion and interview should bring with them attested copies of all their transcripts (marks cards from SSLC or equivalent onwards, degree certificate of the qualifying examination, etc.) and produce them before the interview committee, failing which, they will not be interviewed.

 

(d)     Candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC(non creamy layer) category should bring the original caste/tribe certificate, issued by a competent authority for purposes of verification. OBC candidates belonging to non creamy layer will be required to produce the original certificate issued on or after January 1st 2011 by a competent authority.

 

(e)     Candidates belonging to the Physically Handicapped category and Kashmiri-Migrants should produce the original of the appropriate certificates, issued as per Government of India rules.

 

(f)       The offer letter for the selected candidates will be posted on IISc website  http://admissions.iisc.ernet.in during the third week of June 2011.  They can download the offer letter and make necessary arrangements including payment of fees etc. No separate communication will be sent to you by post.


(g)     Candidates admitted to M.Mgt programmes should report to the Institute for completing admission formalities on 27.07.2011. The session commences on 01.08.2011.

 

(h)     At the time of joining, candidates should have completed all the requirements for the award of the qualifying degree including all examinations, dissertation projects, viva-voce, etc.

 

(i)       Only candidates who produce all the mark sheets and degree certificates (original/provisional) issued by the University Authority will be given regular admission.

 

(j)       Candidates who are awaiting results but have completed all formalities for the award of a degree should produce at the time of joining, a Course-Completion Certificate, issued by the Head of the institution (The Principal/Registrar). Such candidates will be given only provisional admission, which will be regularized on their producing all the marks sheets and  degree certificates (original, or provisional)etc., issued by the University Authority on or before 31 October 2011, failing which, the provisional admission stands cancelled.

 

(k)     Candidates who are given provisional admission are eligible for a scholarship only on regularization of admission (on production of the required documents). They will be paid a scholarship with retrospective effect, i.e., from the date of joining.
